The Office of Disability Resources (ODR) views our relationships with faculty and staff as partnerships. Together we are a valuable part of creating an accessible academic community here at UMW. Please take a look at the resources provided on our website and don’t hesitate to call us or send us an email if you have any questions.
In the links below there are a variety of resources that may assist you in accommodating students with disabilities and other diverse learners, as well as creating an inclusive environment for all. Please take a look at ODR’s Faculty/Instructor Handbook for more information.
Resources for Working with Students with Disabilities:

- Tips for How to Refer Students to ODR
- Accommodations and Oral Communication Assignments
- DisABILITY Resources Toolbox – The DisABILITY Resources Toolbox (DART) was created by the American Psychological Association to provide faculty with information to better support students with disabilities.
