Student ODR Testing Center Operational Policy

Before the Test/Scheduling

  • Before scheduling a testing appointment, obtain instructor approval for the date and time of your appointment. Failure to receive this approval may result in ODR canceling your testing appointment.
  • Self-schedule your testing appointment via your Accommodate portal at least 5 business days (Monday – Friday) in advance of your appointment. ODR is happy to help if you encounter any difficulty. If you find you do not need your testing appointment, please cancel it.
  • Make up and/or rescheduled testing appointments must be approved by your instructor and can be made by calling or visiting the ODR office.

Day of the Test/What to Expect

  • Arrive for your appointment 10 minutes early to allow for check-in and to avoid loss of testing time. Your test will begin promptly at your scheduled appointment. Please note, that your testing window does not stop for any breaks taken.
  • Due to the reduced distraction environment of our testing center, cell phones, electronics, and backpacks/bags must be stored in an ODR locker.
  • Except for water, food and drinks may not be brought into the testing room.
  • ODR reserves the right to prohibit any unaccommodated item from the testing room.
  • If you are taking a Canvas exam in the ODR Testing Center, please bring your own fully-charged computer for use. ODR does not provide testing computers for Canvas exams.
  • ODR will provide computers for non-Canvas tests requiring one for accommodated testing.
  • Bring your own testing supplies, such as approved calculators. ODR will supply scratch paper.
  • A warning window for the approaching end of tests will not be given. It is the students’ responsibility to manage testing time.
  • Use of resources, materials, or other unauthorized items is strictly prohibited and may be considered an Honor Code violation.
