Vote Early!
You can vote early in-person 45 days before the general election. See below for locations of early voting sites.
Due to new legislation passed by the Virginia General Assembly, Virginia residents are allowed to vote early in-person in their Registrar’s office or designated regional voting center. In-person early voting will be very similar to if you were voting on Election Day, the only difference is that you are voting in the Registrar’s office rather than a polling place.
Keep in Mind When Voting Early In Person:
Bring a Photo ID
Just as if you were voting on Election Day, some form of voter ID is required. It is recommended that you bring a driver’s license, student ID, or passport. Note: While you no longer need an ID with a photo, a photo ID is recommended. A photo ID will allow for a quicker transaction on Election Day.
