Honors Commons

In America’s older towns, the Commons was often a centrally located space for events, celebrations, and the free exchange of ideas between the town’s inhabitants. This same spirit characterizes The Honors Commons at UMW.

The Honors Commons is a space on campus reserved for the academic and collaborative use of Honors scholars and staff, to advance our goals of building a strong Honors community and peer cohort. Located on the third floor of Lee Hall in the center of campus, the Honors Commons offers a small computer lab with free printing and some space for quiet study; a break room with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, where you may store your own Honors Program mug; and a comfortable area for collaboration, study breaks, and dialogue with your peers.

The Honors Commons also holds the offices of the program staff, and may be used for meetings and other programming.
