GWU Med School Early Selection Program
The George Washington University and the University of Mary Washington have agreed to implement an early selection program for individuals interested in a career of medicine. This program is only open to Honors Scholars. Students who are accepted into and fulfill the requirements of the early selection program will be provided provisional admission to the four-year M.D. program at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Application information
Interested second year students should obtain an application by emailing the Honors Program Director Kelli Slunt (kslunt@umw.edu or honorsprogram@umw.edu).
Applications will be accepted by the UMW Honors Program Director by March 1st from students in the second year of the UMW Honors Program.
Letters of recommendation should be addressed to and sent to the Honors Program Director Kelli Slunt (kslunt@umw.edu or honorsprogram@umw.edu),
Students interested in pursuing careers in health sciences may want to register for IDIS 192, Preparation for Healthcare Careers, which also fulfills the After Mary Washington requirement.
