Vote Early!
Saturday October 31st is the last day to Vote Early in person this fall! Check with your Voting Registrar to find out the hours your voting center will be open.
This year, due to new legislation passed by the Virginia General Assembly, Virginia residents are allowed to vote early in-person in their Registrar’s office or designated regional voting center. In-person early voting will be very similar to if you were voting on Election Day, the only difference is that you are voting in the Registrar’s office rather than a polling place.
You can also vote early using an “Absentee by Mail” ballot.
Keep in Mind When Voting Early In Person:
Bring a Photo ID
Just as if you were voting on Election Day, some form of voter ID is required. It is recommended that you bring a driver’s license, student ID, or passport. Note: While you no longer need an ID with a photo, a photo ID is recommended. A photo ID will allow for a quicker transaction on Election Day.
