There are several additional resources that could be useful as you plan for community engagement in your classroom.

1. The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)  has a number of useful resources, including:

   • Resources for Civic Learning
2. Campus Compact is a national organization promoting civic engagement and community development efforts of colleges and universities, and their website includes many useful resources.
3. There are many resources created by specific universities:
   • Vanderbilt University has a guide to Community Engagement and Service Learning.
   • Vanderbilt University has a guide to Best Practices in Community Engaged Teaching.
   • Vanderbilt University has a Step by Step Guide to Community Engaged Teaching.
     • This resource is really good and thoughtful, but not every CE-type class will do all of these things. But there are really good steps to keep in mind, and even aim for.
