Patawomeck Partnership
UMW’s Humanities Center supports the preservation and protection of the heritage of the Patawomeck Indian Tribe of Virginia. This collaboration includes research support at the Berger-Patawomeck Preserve, the development of internship opportunities for undergraduate students, and a variety of community engagement projects. Additionally, UMW’s partnership with the Patawomeck citizenry helps address social inequities and enriches our campus by promoting cross-cultural exchange and understanding.
