Professors, please contact the Center’s manager to set up a fall visit or mini-workshop.

Heather Guhl –

Appointments will be conducted either online or in person. Clients have a choice!

Follow the steps below or this pdf: How to Schedule a Writing Center Appointment Fall 2021 UPDATED.

Make an appointment by clicking on the red rectangle!

Appointment scheduling instructions:
  1. Go to
  2. Click on “Schedule an Appointment” in the top right corner.
  3. You will be presented with three dropdown menus. The first question is “What type of appointment would you like to schedule?” Select “Writing Center.”
  4. The next dropdown menu is “Service.” Select the appropriate service from the options of “5 or fewer pages,” “6+ pages,” and “Brainstorming 60 minutes.”
  5. The final dropdown menu is “Pick a Date.” Choose a date that works for you from the calendar that pops up. Keep in mind that EAB won’t let you schedule appointments less than 24 hours in advance, so you’ll need to plan ahead! Selecting a date will give you appointment options for a 30-day range following your chosen date.
  6. Once you have completed the dropdown menus, click on the button that says “Find Available Time.”
  7. The left-hand side of the following page will have available appointment options. If you do not want to work with a specific consultant, pick a time that works for you from the listed options.
  8. If you want to make a Writing Center appointment with a particular person, click on “View individual availabilities” and you’ll be guided to all current Writing Center consultants listed alphabetically by first name. Select the consultant you want to work with, and you’ll be brought to a page listing their availability.
  9. Picking a time and date will lead you to a page that lists your chosen or assigned consultant’s information. At this point, you will be asked to choose the format for the appointment: virtual or in-person. Please note that if you choose virtual, you must be present on Zoom and/or on the document during the appointment or you will be counted as a “no-show” and you will be asked to reschedule. You will also be presented with a form that gives you the option to pick what kind of automated reminders you’d like to receive and an option to let your consultant know a little bit about what kind of help you’d like to receive.
  10. Click the blue “Schedule” button at the bottom of the page.
*NOTE: If you would like to make an online appointment using a Google Doc, be sure to
1) copy and paste your Google Doc link in the “details” box, and
2) Edit the Sharing your Google Doc settings in Google Docs so that you allow anyone with that link permission to edit. This is a very important step so that your time with your consultant is used wisely.

3) Edit the Sharing your Word Doc settings, too, if using that platform.
