Summer 2026: Introduction to AI
Our flagship introductory course offers students from all disciplines a comprehensive foundation in artificial intelligence concepts, applications, and ethical considerations. More than 230 incoming and returning students participated in the course in Summer 2025.This interdisciplinary course combines technical literacy with critical thinking about AI’s role in society.
Course Details: IDIS 300: Introduction to AI
Fall 2025: AI & Society
DGST 301N: AI & Society explored the complex relationships between artificial intelligence technologies and human society. Students examined how AI systems are developed, deployed, and experienced across different communities, with particular attention to issues of bias, privacy, labor, and social justice. This course combined hands-on experimentation with AI tools and critical analysis of their societal impacts.
