Pedagogy Travel Grants have been suspended for the 2020-2021 academic year.
What are Pedagogy Travel Grants?
Pedagogy Travel Grants offer faculty funding to attend a teaching-focused conference. Conferences may be general (e.g. Lilly National Conferences) or discipline-specific (e.g. the Association for Theatre in Higher Education Annual Conference). Grant applications are accepted for attendance or presentation at a teaching conference.
How much funding do Pedagogy Travel Grants provide?
The Center for Teaching awards $500 grants each fall, spring, and summer.
What is the application review process?
Applications are due prior to travel. The Teaching Center Advisory Committee selects applications for funding.
First-time grant applicants will receive priority consideration. Also, preference will be given to applicants who have not received a Pedagogy Travel Grant within the past year.
NOTE: Pedagogy Travel Grants have been suspended for the 2020-2021 academic year.
How do I apply for a Pedagogy Travel Grant?
Complete the Pedagogy Travel Grant application (via Qualtrics) by the deadline for your semester of travel.
Center for Teaching staff will email acknowledgement of your application, including a PDF file for your records.
We recommend drafting and saving grant application responses before submitting via Qualtrics. A Word version of the Pedagogy Travel Grant application is available for preview and drafting purposes.
NOTE: Only applications submitted via Qualtrics will be accepted for review by the committee!
