In the fall of 2019, the Division of Teaching and Learning Technologies (DTLT) was restructured as Digital Learning Support (DLS).  DLS is a service unit that helps students and faculty develop the skills they need to integrate digital technologies into their teaching, learning and research at the University.

Digital Learning Support

DLS provides faculty support including consultations around integration of digital tools into courses, creation of digital projects, and design of hybrid or fully online courses, including development of new general education and Digital Intensive courses. Workshops around digital tools and techniques as well as partnership with the Center for Teaching provide opportunities for faculty to expand and improve their use of digital tools in teaching and learning.

Digital Knowledge Center

Support for students is provided by the Digital Knowledge Center (DKC) with student peer-consulting on a wide variety of digital projects, tools, and techniques. Students can sign up for consultations around different technologies used in their classes, or meet with consultants to discuss projects and learn new skills. The DKC and DLS partner with faculty to develop and integrate digital projects for courses and ways to support them.

Incubator Lab

Starting in the fall of 2021, the ThinkLab maker space located in the Simpson Library has been re-imagined as the Incubator Lab and re-located to HCC 407.  The Incubator Lab is a venue for students to engage in experimentation and deliberate practice using digital and analog tools. The Lab offers students access to advanced software and hardware to tackle ambitious projects, and the opportunity to develop their skills in an environment that celebrates cross-disciplinary collaboration, rapid iteration, and productive failure.
