Internship Grant Winners

Academic and Career Services and Alumni Relations offers students participating in unpaid summer internships the opportunity to apply for a $2,000 grant to help them throughout the summer.  This year we were fortunate enough to award this grant to three students! The winners are: Shayna Buchin Shayna is a Political Science major.  She will be doing her internship with Autism Speaks. Phoebe Frye Phoebe is a Biology major with a Chemistry minor.  She will be doing her internship at the Suisun Wildlife Center in Suisun City, California. Looking to recruit on campus?

Are you looking to recruit on campus? UMW students make the best interns and employees! Here are some of the ways to find them: •Our job posting system, Employ.An.Eagle, allows employers to post part-time and full-time positions as well as internship opportunities in an online database that is searchable by UMW students. There is no fee to use this system. If you are interested, please click on the link to learn more and to register. •If you wish to recruit on campus, you have the option of setting up an information table in our Student Center, holding an information session for students, or conducting mock interviews or job interviews from pre-screened resumes. We are starting to create our fall calendar now, so send us your available dates if you are interested in this option and we can schedule a session for you! •Our next Job and Internship Fair will be held in the fall on our Fredericksburg campus.
