Alice C. Tyler Village of Childhelp is a private, nonprofit, psychiatric residential treatment center located in Northern Virginia. They provide a clinically sophisticated therapeutic program, using an interdisciplinary approach. The organization specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with trauma, neglect, psychiatric disorders and developmental disorders. Childhelp takes a holistic approach to serving children, working to meet their physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs.    The organization likes to hire interns and employees who have a passion for working with children and wish to make a difference.  Students with experience working with children with special needs are encouraged to apply. Their Residential Program Administrator is a UMW alum who implements various therapeutic measures to meet the children’s needs. Some of these measures include horseback riding, community outings, hiking and biking, children’s choir, gardening, animal care and nature study.
