The workshop series is full and more books are being ordered!  If you haven’t received your book yet, it will be coming shortly!
Due to faculty request I am pleased to announce that the three-session workshop series – Creating Significant Learning and Why it Matters will now be offered on Wednesdays October 9, November 13, and December 4, 2013 from 4:00-5:30pm, duPont 215, dinner will be served!
  • Do you wonder how to engage students in significant learning and really remember your content? Ready to give a course a ‘new look’ for Spring semester? Always wanted time to  ‘revise,’ ‘create,’ or ‘begin a new course’ that infuses key elements for meaningful learning? Want to experience D. Fink’s significant learning model first hand and consider this pedagogical model as a framework to support your teaching philosophy and practices?

Please consider joining the Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation in Creating Significant Learning and Why it Matters, a three-session workshop series (Wednesdays – October 9, November 13, and December 4, 4:00-5:30 in duPont 215, dinner is served).

Over the three consecutive workshops you will learn about the basic steps and elements in Integrative Course Design, have time for reflection and application to your own course, and receive feedback on your course development/revision. Join a community of like-minded faculty!

In addition, you will receive a copy of Creating Significant Learning Experiences: An Integrated Approach to Designing College Course by L. Dee Fink when you RSVP.

Space is filling up and is limited to 10 participants so be sure to sign-up by Friday, September 27, 2013! Please RSVP here and confirm that you agree to attend all three consecutive workshops and receive your book.
