12:30-1:45pm in duPont 215

Looking for activities to build classroom community? Want to learn about various strategies for grouping students for learning activities? Would you like to have lunch and spend time with other faculty to learn about their experiences working with students in these settings?  If so, please consider joining the Center for Teaching Excellence and Dr. Caitlin Finlayson (Visiting Assistant Professor, Geography Department) on Thursday, September 19, in the Woodward Campus Center (meeting room 1) for a lunch/workshop.

For this workshop you will have an opportunity to participate in several activities that encourage active student participation in large or small classroom settings. Participants will have a chance to workshop an activity for their own class and receive additional strategies/ideas/assignments that work well in a variety of classroom settings.  Join us for lunch and meet with faculty who are interested in learning strategies to support building classroom community and active student engagement.

This workshop is limited to 12 so be sure to sign-up early, reserve your seat and order your lunch.
