Third Party Affiliated Study Abroad Programs

UMW recognizes it cannot provide the variety of programs needed for all students’ academic, linguistic and cultural needs. Outside providers and direct enrollment in international universities offer valuable learning alternatives to UMW Faculty-Led or Partner Programs.

UMW has affiliation agreements in place with several outside providers and overseas universities. Below is a list of these Affiliated Programs, with links to their homepages and internship opportunities for further exploration. (Click here for a printable list.)

Please note that the Affiliated Program study abroad opportunities are offered by “non-UMW” outside providers and overseas universities.  All credit earned for these programs must be approved using a UMW Course Approval Form and will appear as transfer credit on the student’s transcript.  Students must earn a “C” or better in order for any credits to transfer, and credit will not be granted for study abroad credits that are not previously approved by UMW.
