New Media

The New Media Center at the University of Mary Washington is a sub-division of DTLT. The center will, as part of its mission, provide research, oversee development, and offer production assistance for new media approaches to supporting technology-enhanced and online learning at UMW. The New Media Center site provides information about many multimedia topics including digital video, audio, and imaging. We have articles on podcasting, screencasting, and live video streaming.

We provide a list of essential new media tools we recommend available at our Toolkit site. We also have tutorials for using these tools on our Digital Media Cookbook site. All of this information should help users in the Mary Washington community publish rich media content to our WordPress-based CMS and to UMW Blogs sites.
