Canvas

Canvas is the University’s learning management system (LMS) created by Instructure. You can log in to Canvas with your NetID and password at canvas.umw.edu.

Technical Questions

If you have technical questions, such as adding someone to a course, cross-listing, login issues, etc. contact the Help Desk on the web at technology.umw.edu/helpdesk/. By e-mail at helpdesk@umw.edu. Or by telephone at (540) 654-2255. This is a good first point of contact, if you’re not sure what kind of support you need. If necessary, the Help Desk can open a support ticket and refer it to DTLT.

Consulting, Training, or Instructional design

For consulting, training, or help with instructional design, set up a meeting with DTLT by visiting academics.umw.edu/dtlt/work-with-us/ or by e-mail at dtlt@umw.edu. In fact, that e-mail is a good place to start for collaborating with DTLT using any platform. Feel free to e-mail Jesse, Jess, or Lee directly, if you’re already working with one of us, but you can use dtlt@umw.edu to reach out to all of us at once.

Canvas Bugs

The Help Button in Canvas will offer some of the above options, but also allows you to put in a ticket if you find glitches or bugs with the system.
