Wondering what you can do with your major? Confused about whether or not to head straight to graduate school? We are happy to assist degree-seeking UMW students/alumni with any career questions.
Appointment hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are held on the Fredericksburg campus, Lee Hall, room 308. The same hours apply throughout the summer semester as well. During the academic year students are welcome to walk-in without an appointment. “Walk-in Wednesdays” are now “Drop-In Monday’s” and they are held in our office, Lee 308, from 2:00-5:00pm and allow students to have 15 minutes with a career counselor without scheduling an appointment (please come in no later than 4:30pm to allow time for proper attention to your concerns). Evening walk-in hours vary by semester. Check out our calendar of events to find out current times.

Stafford Campus Appointments
Degree-seeking students attending classes at the Stafford campus, have the option of meeting with a career counselor at either campus. Evening hours are also available as requested. The ability to schedule appointments through the online system is not yet available for Stafford campus appointments. Please email casv@umw.edu to get more information about appointments on the Stafford campus.
